Full Time Paramedic: Keokuk County Health Center Ambulance Department is seeking a Full Time Paramedic with a minimum of 2 years experience preferred.  12 hour shifts with 12 hours on-call.  Provides care in pre-hospital setting.  Applicant must be certified in the State of Iowa, Iowa drivers and Chauffeurs license.  Must be ACLS, BLS, and PALS certified.  PHTLS certification preferred.  Hospital based ambulance service experience preferred.  Looking for an outgoing individual that can work without supervision.  Sign on Bonus of $4500 for a commitment of three years OR relocation allowance available. 

Part Time Phlebotomist: Keokuk County Health Center is seeking a part time phlebotomist to obtain and prepare blood, urine and other specimens for analysis.  Performs point-of-care laboratory tests.  High school graduate or equivalent.  Phlebotomy experience is preferred.  Must be able to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.  Understands that errors may have serious consequences for patients.  Must maintain a valid drivers’ license.  20 to 25 hours per week.  Benefits: Paid Time Off, uniform allowance, and eligible for AFLAC insurance.

Part Time Environmental Worker: Keokuk County Health Center has a Part Time opening for an Environmental Worker to work in our Dietary, Laundry, and Housekeeping departments.  Guaranteed 16 hours per week.  Previous knowledge of healthcare facilities preferred.  Includes some weekends and holidays.  Benefits: Paid Time Off, uniform allowance, and eligible for AFLAC insurance.

PRN Patient Transporter: Keokuk County Health Center is looking for an individual that will be responsible for assisting patients into and out of vehicle, transporting patients from KCHC to other healthcare facilities for appointments and other testing.  Transports equipment, supplies, and lab specimens by delivering them to assigned treatment areas and patient care areas.  Must be 18 years of age, have a valid Iowa Driver’s license with Chauffer’s endorsement, clean driving record without recent violations and current BLS certification required. 

PRN Dietary Cook/Aide: Keokuk County Health Center is seeking an individual to help with vacations and sick time in the Dietary Department.  Duties include but not limited to: cooking and serving food to patients and guests, setting up meal trays, washing dishes, cleaning and other duties as assigned.  Knowledge of cooking in foodservice preferred.  High School diploma. 

PRN Medical TechnologistKeokuk County Health Center has an opening for a PRN Medical Technologist to assist in providing coverage for the Laboratory Department.  Candidates should be knowledgeable in all areas of routine procedures as well as those specialized tests that require more complex techniques. B.S. or B.A. degree and graduation from an accredited school of medical technology and have at least one year of pertinent laboratory experience or training in a hospital setting.  Or, B.S. or B.A. degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences and have at least one year of pertinent laboratory experience or training in a hospital setting, or both and have passed the Board of Registry Examination.  Hours to include nights, weekends and on-call coverage. 

PRN Direct Care Worker: Keokuk County Health Center Nursing Department is seeking individuals that are willing to provide direct and indirect care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse.  Will assist patients with ADL’s, provide personal cares, comfort and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.  Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in State of Iowa.  BLS certification required.  

PRN Registered Nurse: Keokuk County Health Center is seeking Registered Nurses to help cover shifts when other employees are on vacation or sick leave.  Shifts are 12 hours Days/Nights/Weekends.  ER experience is a plus.  Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse and authorized by the State of Iowa to practice nursing.  BLS, ACLS and PALS training required or within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment.  TNCC training required or after 6 months of hire and must maintain throughout employment.

PRN Radiology/CT Technologist: Keokuk County Health Center is seeking a Radiology/CT Technologist to help cover sick time and vacations. Responsible for providing medical imaging services as directed by the physician and/or radiologist. Completes assigned responsibilities within his/her certifications with no direct supervision. Duties include providing patient care essential to x-ray procedures in routine and emergency situations; correctly adjusting equipment and positioning patients for optimum quality x-ray films, exercising discretion and judgment in the performance of medical imaging procedures and applying procedures of radiation protection for the patient; effectively producing and evaluating the technical aspects of the required files. Must be an Iowa licensed Radiologic Technologist.
