Current Openings:

Full Time Phlebotomist: Keokuk County Health Center has an opening for a full time phlebotomist.  Phlebotomist will obtain and prepare blood, urine and other specimens for analysis.  Performs point-of-care laboratory tests.  Must be a certified Phlebotomy Technician.  Phlebotomy experience is preferred.  Must be able to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.  Understands that errors may have serious consequences for patients.  Must maintain a valid drivers’ license.  Full benefit package includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance, short and long term disability plans, paid time off, uniform allowance and IPERS. 

Part Time Direct Care Worker: Keokuk County Health Center has an opening for a Part Time Direct Care Worker; 16 hours one week and 24 hours the next week.  Includes every other weekend and some holidays.  Will provide direct and indirect care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse.  Will assist patients with ADL’s, provide personal cares, comfort and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.  Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in State of Iowa and BLS certification required.  Benefits: Uniform Allowance, IPERS, Paid Time Off and eligible for AFLAC.

PRN EMT: Keokuk County Health Center is seeking a PRN EMT, experience preferred.  Provides care in pre-hospital setting.  Applicant must be certified in the State of Iowa, Iowa Drivers and Chauffeurs license.  Acceptable driving record.  Must have BLS certification.  Looking for an outgoing individual that can work without supervision.  Benefits: Uniform Allowance.

PRN Direct Care Worker: Keokuk County Health Center Nursing Department is seeking individuals that are willing to provide direct and indirect care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse.  Will assist patients with ADL’s, provide personal cares, comfort and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.  Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in State of Iowa.  BLS certification required.  Benefits: Uniform Allowance

PRN Radiology/CT Technologist: Keokuk County Health Center is seeking a Radiology/CT Technologist to help cover sick time and vacations.  Responsible for providing medical imaging services as directed by the physician and/or radiologist.  Completes assigned responsibilities within his/her certifications with no direct supervision.  Duties include providing patient care essential to x-ray procedures in routine and emergency situations; correctly adjusting equipment and positioning patients for optimum quality x-ray films, exercising discretion and judgment in the performance of medical imaging procedures and applying procedures of radiation protection for the patient; effectively producing and evaluating the technical aspects of the required files.  Must be an Iowa licensed Radiologic Technologist. Benefits: Uniform Allowance

PRN Paramedic: Keokuk County Health Center is seeking a PRN Paramedic.  Provides advance emergency care in pre-hospital setting.  Applicant must be certified in the State of Iowa, Iowa Drivers and Chauffeurs license.  Acceptable driving record.  Must be ACLS, BLS and PALS certified.  PHTLS certification preferred.  Hospital based ambulance service experience preferred.  Looking for an outgoing individual that can work without supervision.  Benefits: Uniform Allowance. 

PRN Retail Certified Pharmacy Technician: Keokuk County Health Center is seeking Certified Pharmacy Technicians to help cover vacations and sick time in the Retail Pharmacy.  Technicians assist pharmacists with preparing and distributing prescription medications to customers, working with health professionals and customers, taking prescription information over the phone and in person, and provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by demonstrating care and concern for our patients.  Must be certified as a pharmacy technician.
