PRN Phlebotomist: Keokuk County Health Center is looking for a phlebotomist to help cover vacations. The phlebotomist will obtain and prepare blood, urine, and other specimens for analysis. Performs point-of-care laboratory tests. High school graduate or equivalent. Phlebotomy experience is preferred. Must be able to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction. Understands that errors may have serious consequences for patients. Must maintain a valid drivers’ license.
PRN Patient Transporter: Keokuk County Health Center is looking for an individual that will be responsible for assisting patients into and out of vehicle, transporting patients from KCHC to other healthcare facilities for appointments and other testing. Transports equipment, supplies, and lab specimens by delivering them to assigned treatment areas and patient care areas. Must be 18 years of age, have a valid Iowa Driver’s license with Chauffer’s endorsement, clean driving record without recent violations and current BLS certification required.
PRN Dietary Cook/Aide: Keokuk County Health Center is seeking an individual to help with vacations and sick time in the Dietary Department. Duties include but not limited to: cooking and serving food to patients and guests, setting up meal trays, washing dishes, cleaning and other duties as assigned. Knowledge of cooking in foodservice preferred. High School diploma.
PRN Medical Technologist: Keokuk County Health Center has an opening for a PRN Medical Technologist to assist in providing coverage for the Laboratory Department. Candidates should be knowledgeable in all areas of routine procedures as well as those specialized tests that require more complex techniques. B.S. or B.A. degree and graduation from an accredited school of medical technology and have at least one year of pertinent laboratory experience or training in a hospital setting. Or, B.S. or B.A. degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences and have at least one year of pertinent laboratory experience or training in a hospital setting, or both and have passed the Board of Registry Examination. Hours to include nights, weekends and on-call coverage.
PRN Direct Care Worker: Keokuk County Health Center Nursing Department is seeking individuals that are willing to provide direct and indirect care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse. Will assist patients with ADL’s, provide personal cares, comfort and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in State of Iowa. BLS certification required.
PRN Registered Nurse: Keokuk County Health Center is seeking Registered Nurses to help cover shifts when other employees are on vacation or sick leave. Shifts are 12 hours Days/Nights/Weekends. ER experience is a plus. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse and authorized by the State of Iowa to practice nursing. BLS, ACLS and PALS training required or within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment. TNCC training required or after 6 months of hire and must maintain throughout employment.
