Barbara Brown, MD
Dr. Brown is a fully trained and certified medical doctor. She seeks to determine the basis of patients’ needs and to help them with proper medication management. Dr. Brown is currently accepting new patients at the Keokuk County Medical Clinic. She has worked with the general adult and geriatric populations in the past. Dr. Brown currently works with adult patients of all ages.
Dr. Brown has an associate of arts degree from Pensacola Jr. College. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor of arts degree with a major in psychology. She graduated magna cum laude from Springhill College with a bachelor of science degree with a major in biology. Dr. Brown received her medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. She completed her psychiatric residency at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Dr. Brown has been married to her husband, Ken, for over 50 years. They have 3 adult sons and 6 grandchildren. Dr. Brown likes to say she was not born in Iowa, but she got here as soon as she could. Dr. Brown and her husband are both active in historic preservation. She enjoys flea markets and repairing most anything.
