Applicant must be certified in the State of Iowa, Iowa Drivers and Chauffeurs license. Acceptable driving record. Must be ACLS, BLS and PALS certified. PHTLS certification preferred. Hospital based ambulance service experience preferred. Looking for an outgoing individual that can work without supervision.

NURSING

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is seeking a full time night registered nurse to work on the inpatient floor and emergency room. Shifts are 12 hours (7pm to 7am), guaranteed 36 hours per week. ER experience is a plus. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse and authorized by the State of Iowa to practice nursing.  BLS, ACLS and PALS training required or within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment. TNCC training required or after 6 months of hire and must maintain throughout employment.

Direct Care Worker | Full Time

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics has an opening for full time Direct Care Worker, 32 hours a week. The shifts for during the week are 3pm to 11pm and then every third weekend during the day shift of 7am to 3pm. DCWs provide direct and indirect care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse.  Will assist patients with ADL’s, provide personal cares, comfort and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Iowa and BLS certification required.

PHARMACY

Pharmacist | Temporary Full Time or Part Time

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Licensed Pharmacist to cover maternity leave starting in May to the end of July in our Retail Pharmacy on either a full time or part time basis. Perform professional retail pharmaceutical work in the compounding and dispensing of drugs. Provide education to patients and advise regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage. Work collaboratively with the Pharmacy team to ensure patients’ needs are met and the best service possible is provided. Iowa Pharmacy License that is current and in good standing is required.

Relief Pharmacist | Contracted

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Licensed Pharmacist to cover vacations in the Retail Pharmacy. NEW: Emergency Room Physician (MD or DO) | Full Time

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Full Time Emergency Room Physician to join our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of the healthcare team. Option for full time employment or contract work. Responsibilities: perform medical procedures as necessary, prescribe medication and treatments, and communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals. As part of emergency room shift, Physician will be expected to manage inpatient, observation and swing bed patients. Qualifications: Previous experience as a physician in emergency room, licensed to practice in the state of Iowa, current registration with DEA and CSA, current BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS and Mandatory Reporter Training, strong attention to detail, ability to build rapport with patients.

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Radiology/CT Technologist to help cover vacations and medical leave; could include some nights and weekends. Responsible for providing medical imaging services as directed by the physician and/or radiologist. Complete assigned responsibilities within his/her certifications with no direct supervision. Duties include providing patient care essential to x-ray procedures in routine and emergency situations; correctly adjusting equipment and positioning patients for optimum quality x-ray films. Exercise discretion and judgment in the performance of medical imaging procedures and apply procedures of radiation protection for the patient; effectively produce and evaluate the technical aspects of the required files. Must be an Iowa licensed Radiologic Technologist.
