DIETARY

Dietary Cook/Aide | PRN

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is seeking an individual to help cover vacations and medical leaves in the Dietary Department. Duties include but not limited to: cooking and serving food to patients, guests and employees, setting up meal trays, washing dishes, cleaning and other duties as assigned. Knowledge of cooking in foodservice preferred. High School diploma or GED required.

Emergency Room

Direct Care Worker | Full Time

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics has an opening for a full time Direct Care Worker, guaranteed 40 hours a week with every other weekend and rotating holidays. Shifts are a combination of Days (7am-3pm) and Evenings (3pm-11pm) and 8 & 12 hours. DCW provide direct and indirect care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse. Will assist patients with ADL’s, provide personal cares, comfort and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Iowa and BLS certification required.

Emergency Room Manager | Full Time

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics has a new position as an Emergency Room Manager. Primary responsibilities include providing oversight and direction for the Emergency Department and Trauma Services. This manager will provide accountability for planning, directing, leading and evaluating the care provided in the emergency department. Responsibilities will include participation as the Trauma Program Manager; this is a fundamental aspect of this position and key to the success of the organization’s trauma program development, implementation and evaluation. Secondary responsibilities will be to provide back-up for the Nursing Department, Infection Control/Employee Health/Cardiac Rehab Department and Social Service designee. Must be licensed by the State of Iowa as a Registered Nurse OR certified in the State of Iowa as a Paramedic. ACLS, PALS and BLS Instructor certification required. TNCC or PHTLS certification required.

HEDRICK CLINIC

Part Time Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant | Part Time

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is hiring a part time NP/PA for the Hedrick acute care clinic.  Provider would be responsible for diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and performing DOT physicals.  Requirements: License to practice in the state of Iowa, current registration with DEA and CSA, current BLS and Mandatory Reporter Training, ability to utilize electronic medical record system and demonstrate computer literacy, strong organizational skills, and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team approach as well as individually.

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is seeking a full time night registered nurse to work on the inpatient floor and emergency room. Shifts are 12 hours (7pm to 7am), guaranteed 36 hours per week. ER experience is a plus. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse and authorized by the State of Iowa to practice nursing.  BLS, ACLS and PALS training required or within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment. TNCC training required or after 6 months of hire and must maintain throughout employment.

RADIOLOGY

Radiology/CT Technologist | PRN

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is seeking a PRN Radiology/CT Technologist to help cover vacations and medical leave; no on-call requirements unless interested. Responsible for providing medical imaging services as directed by the physician and/or radiologist. Complete assigned responsibilities within his/her certifications with no direct supervision. Duties include providing patient care essential to x-ray procedures in routine and emergency situations; correctly adjusting equipment and positioning patients for optimum quality x-ray films. Exercise discretion and judgment in the performance of medical imaging procedures and apply procedures of radiation protection for the patient; effectively produce and evaluate the technical aspects of the required files. Must be an Iowa licensed Radiologic Technologist.
