Administrative

Chief Executive Officer | Full Time

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO manages and directs all activities of the hospital & clinics to carry out its mission, vision, plans, & standards. Plans and generates policies for various hospital activities and performs related administrative and supervisory duties to ensure the efficient operation of the hospital. Promotes favorable public relations; negotiates for improvement of hospital buildings and equipment. Master’s degree in healthcare administration. Minimum 3-5 years of prior executive level healthcare management or senior leadership experience in a Critical Access Hospital or hospital setting preferred.

Ambulance

Paramedic | PRN | Hourly rate plus shift differentials

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is seeking PRN Paramedics. Provides advance emergency care in pre-hospital setting. Applicant must be certified in the State of Iowa, Iowa Drivers and Chauffeurs license. Acceptable driving record. Must be ACLS, BLS and PALS certified. PHTLS certification preferred. Hospital based ambulance service experience preferred. Looking for an outgoing individual that can work without supervision.

Clinic – Sigourney

Clinical Behavioral Health Therapist | Full Time

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics has an opening for a full time Clinical Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team in a rapidly growing practice with a well-established referral network.  As a member of our team, you will provide individual therapy in an outpatient group practice setting with the potential to provide couples, family, and group therapy if expertise, demand, and interest allow.  Current permanent License Independent Social Worker in the State of Iowa.  Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields preferred.

Clinic Nurse| Full Time

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics has an opening for a full time Clinic Nurse to work in our Sigourney Medical Clinic 4 days per week.  Assist providers in all areas of clinic patient care:  vaccines, charting, scheduling, and rooming.  BLS training required or within 90 days of hire and must maintain through employment.  Must be Certified Medical Assistant or licensed as a LPN or RN and authorized by the State of Iowa to practice nursing.

Dietary

Registered Dietitian | Contracted Consultant

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Contracted Consulting Dietitian to assist the Dietary Manager in planning, directing and coordinating nutrition services approximately four hours weekly onsite and remotely.  Schedule is flexible on days/hours.  Dietitian will assess patients nutritional status and screens for potential nutrition risk; instruction patients/family in nutrition principles and prescribes diets, menus, food selection, and preparation; monitors the overall nutritional care of patients; makes appropriate recommendations for nutritional interventions while providing medical nutrition therapy. 

Qualifications: Registered Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and current Iowa Licensed Registered Dietitian. 

Laboratory

Medical Technologist | PRN Position | Hourly Rate plus shift differentials

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is seeking PRN Medical Technologists (MT) to help assist in the coverage of vacations, medical leave, and on-call duty.  MTs perform various laboratory tests to obtain data for maintenance of health and in detection, diagnosis and treatment of diseases.  Duties include examination of blood and other body fluids to assist physician in proper diagnosis and treatment of patient.  Must be knowledgeable in all areas of routine procedures.  B.S. or B.A. degree and graduation from an accredited school of medical technology and have at least one year of pertinent laboratory experience or training in a hospital setting.  ASCP, AMT or AAB certification is required within 6 months of hire.

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is seeking a full time night registered nurse to work on the inpatient floor and emergency room. Shifts are 12 hours (7 pm – 7 am), guaranteed 36 hours per week. ER experience is a plus. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse and authorized by the State of Iowa to practice nursing.  BLS, ACLS and PALS training required or within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment. TNCC training required or after 6 months of hire and must maintain throughout employment.

Patient Transporter |PRN

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is looking for an individual that will be responsible for assisting patients into and out of vehicle, transporting patients from KCHC to other healthcare facilities for appointments and other testing.  Transports equipment, supplies, and lab specimens by delivering them to assigned treatment areas and patient care areas.  Must be 18 years of age, have a valid Iowa Driver’s license, clean driving record without recent violations, current BLS, and Mandatory Reporter Training.  No guarantee of hours.

Pharmacy

Pharmacist | Part Time

KCHC has an opening for a part time Licensed Pharmacist to work in our retail pharmacy on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8am to 6pm, including every 4th Saturday from 8am to Noon.  Perform professional retail pharmaceutical work in the compounding and dispensing of drugs.  Provide education to patients and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage.  Work collaboratively with the Pharmacy team to ensure patients’ needs are met and the best service possible is provided.  Iowa Pharmacy License that is current and in good standing is required.

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) | PRN

Keokuk County Hospital & Clinics is looking to add a PRN Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to our team. As a PRN COTA you will: Step in as needed to support weekday PRN coverage; Carry out individualized OT treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist; Collaborate with family, caregivers and patients about their training and outlined plan; Provide creative, functional interventions that support performance/participation in occupations and overall quality of life; Communicate progress and observations to the OT and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal outcomes; and Document treatment notes accurately and efficiently. Qualifications: Active state of Iowa license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, current BLS and Mandatory Reporter Training.

Speech Therapist | Part Time

KCHC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary therapy team on a part time basis, 10-15 hours a week. In this role, you will evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, helping them achieve their highest level of functional independence. Responsibilities include: conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized plans of care; provide high-quality treatment for speech, language, voice, fluency and dysphagia; collaborate with physical and occupational therapy teams to ensure holistic patient care; educate patients and family members on home exercise programs and compensatory strategies. Qualifications: Active state of Iowa SLP License, current BLS and Mandatory Reporter Training.
